Thanky Panky #4

Today I am grateful for DENTIST. Yes that is right...good ole' dentists. Particularly my brother in law Brandon who fixed my cavities so my teeth no longer ache...what would we do withouth dentists?! Having a tooth ache is one of the worst things...it hurts. It hurts BAD...
can you imagine living back in the day and just dealing with it.
Or just yanking the teeth out b/c you can't stand it anymore.
You'd end up looking like this guy.
For how much I complain while sitting in that blasted dental chair...I really am grateful for it... Thank you brandon...and thank you to all the dentists out there who help keep our smiles pretty!

Sto-Lverine (a mix of both)

hi there stud muffin...

Yep here we are in all our Halloween glory!
I had to add some special effects to the pic to give it...ya know...a little something extra.
Josh was good...he felt in necessary to never smile in a picture to "stay in character".
We went to my brother and sister in laws for a Halloween bash. It was fun...I took a mental note of what I want to dress my kids up as someday. Such creative people out there!

FOR MY THANKFUL #3:
My Canon Camera...It has been there during my favorite life moments...to document them so that I can remember them always!
I am thankful for smart people who invent these amazing things called cameras!!!

Thankful Post numero dos

This morning, I woke up quite early because of the stupid time change...I hate it. It gets so dark so early and so light so early...It messes me all up. haha So with that, I did something I normally don't do...I sat in bed and read. I read THIS. I am so grateful for this magazine. We get one sent to our house every month and I look forward to the messages it shares within the covers. It truly is such a great tool that can teach and edify each of us. I forget that too often. But this morning, I was reminded of just how special it is...
and I thought "this will be my thankful post #2".
cheers.

p.s. you can always order one HERE...can't beat the price either!!!

30 Days of Thanks!!!

So do you have a blog that you look at when you see they've updated, eventhough you don't know them?!?! Then we feel we come to know them through their blogs?!?! So strange but true...don't pretend like you don't do it! Its the joy of the blogging world.
Anyways, well, one I check every so often is the jackson family. I started reading a while back and her story really touched me. I mean it really did effect me, to the point where I was always thinking about her and hoping she and her family would pull through. She has started this 30 days of Thanks...every day this month you blog or write down something you're thankful for...you wanna join me?!
Please do!
Its a time of thanksgiving...a time to reflect on our blessings,
and we all have much to be thankful for!
So for my FIRST one...
I am thankful for my family. For my husband, for the family I married into, for the family I was born into. I am thankful for every single one of them. They make my life worth while, they love me and I absolutely love them. I am so very grateful for them!!!

Whits Lemon Alfredo Pasta

Made this. It's SO delicious and SO easy!!!
And it makes great left overs
(if you're into that sort of thing...I LOVE leftovers...josh, not so much)

This is directly pasted from my email into this post...isn't my sister sweet to me!?!?

Lemon Alfredo Sauce with Pasta Rigatoni Pasta

1 pound noodles
1 pound asparagus, cut into 1" pieces

(when cooking the pasta, add the asparagus for the last 3 min of pasta cooking to cook it as well)

Drain.

Shredded Chicken. I use a rotisserie chicken, but you use as much as you want.

Sauce:
1 16 ounce (14-15 is fine) bottle of alfredo sauce
1 tablespoon grated lemon peel (I think this makes it)
3 Table spoons fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese (I use a little more)
1 large tomato, halved, seeded... I use more tomatoes. You can actually use whatever veg. you want...

pepper to taste

Make sauce in pan, add the cooked pasta and asparagus. let simmer for a min and then serve.

Have a wonderful, beautiful and lovely night.

Miss your ugly face.

Whit

She doesn't mean the ugly face part. Otherwise...she wouldn't always try to be like me. point taken. :-) OH and HAPPY HALOWEENY!!!!

Designaroochy

just designed a new blog for "the tip lady..." It was quite the adventure...she loves the color 'salmon' which is what I designed it around. The idea of her blog is to post "advice and tips" about random things each day of the week. Pretty good idea I'd say. Anyways it was a fun one to design!

Check it out on MY DESIGN BLOG

X-Men Status

Yesterday was Josh's work Halloween party. It's mostly for the patients to get out and enjoy the weather, games and treats...however, I made WAY more brownie spiders then was necessary. Oh well. leftovers!
Josh really does love being the life of the party as you can see, he was Wolverine. And we just HAD to get the electronic blades that make noise when they shoot out...even if they were $22 A PIECE! my gosh.
All the old ladies just giggle and laugh at him, they just love josh...or Jeff which is what one of the ladies thinks his name is. Its quite entertaining to watch actually.

Creepy Crawly Spiders

I had the brilliant idea of creating these little spiders for Josh's work halloween party.
Lets just say they take A WHILE.
They are so very cute but so very time consuming.
After making these I don't want to work for Charm City Cakes anymore!!!
But they really are so adorable. Josh helped me with the legs. Thank heavens!
However, I went EVERYWHERE trying to find the black licorice wheels for the legs. No such luck. So I resorted to Twizzlers pull aparts.
If you are going to make these here are a few tips:
1. If you like things done quickly. Don't make them. Das' all.
Find Recipe HERE
(hers are a lot cuter...but to be honest I wasn't willing to take the time to do every bit of detail that ms.paula did...they just go down the hatch anyway...fangs or no fangs)
